- Why photography?
- Having an arts background, I think I hit a point where painting and drawing wasn’t doing what I wanted anymore. I found certain ideas needed a much stronger visual identity than the drawing medium would allow me to communicate. Photography became an experiment, something I could manipulate and shape to support my visions.
- Photography is far beyond the representation of the physical and the simplicity of its form. It has made me question how we interpret such visual medium, and what it would be like to see beyond the skin that we all hide behind.
- The images I make are very raw in that they expose insecurity, vulnerability and emotion that we rarely share with those around us, even people we are close to.
